Mercuri International are taking part in National Apprenticeship Week by celebrating a number of our past and present apprentices for our ‘5 Days of Excellence’. We are celebrating all of the hard work our learners have put into their apprenticeship and all of their success so far.
National Apprenticeship Week 2023 is the 16th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships.
The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
Jordan Convertino, Sales Executive Apprentice at Utility Stream is currently undertaking the Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship. Jordan spoke to us about the flexibility of his apprenticeship and how he is now able to buy his first home!
“I am a Sales Executive at Utility Stream and I am currently on the Level 4 sales apprenticeship. The flexibility of the apprenticeship is very helpful as I am able to work at suitable times and still keep on top of my day to day work. I am 80% of the way through my course and I am enjoying understanding aspects of the role that I have not really considered before opening each individual module. An example of this would be setting out a territory map and then setting out all the data. Doing this has made an impact on how and who I prospect. Both my line manager Mark and my manager Ed have been very supportive in the way I work, they both have helped on numerous occasions with aspects of my work”
“Because of this apprenticeship I am able to buy my first home and move in very soon.”
Jordan Convertino – Utility Stream
“Jordan joined Utility Stream in our first cohort of sales apprentices and has wholly embraced the challenge of combining working in a fast paced and dynamic business with the discipline required to complete the apprenticeship. He’s been a strong advocate of the programme as it’s allowed him to build on his natural passion and flair for sales whilst achieving a professional qualification. As a business we are planning to continue to recruit further sales apprentices who will now have the added benefit of being mentored by Jordan over the coming months. It’s incredibly rewarding for us to see the excellent progress made by Jordan over the last 12 months and I have a very high level of confidence that he’ll progress into bigger roles within the Company following completion of the Apprenticeship”
